UPLAND, San Bernardino County — November 4, 2026. An attempt to finance school improvements through a major bond issue is trailing in early results. Upland Unified School District Measure A has a No majority in the county’s final unofficial election-night count.
Measure A results
The county reports 9,631 No votes (57.17%) and 7,214 Yes votes (42.83%). All 46 school-district precincts reported election-night figures, but additional eligible ballots may still be canvassed.
Proposed bond and cost
The Upland Unified School District’s official bond page says Measure A would authorize $236.7 million for facility repairs, safety systems, modernization, accessibility and educational infrastructure. The district estimates a cost of $47.50 annually per $100,000 of assessed property value while bonds remain outstanding. That is the district’s cost estimate, not a bill for every homeowner.
Whose votes count?
The measure applies to the school district electorate, not necessarily every person within Upland’s municipal boundary. The three City Council district races are separate municipal votes. No final legal result can be declared from this incomplete canvass.
Figures: San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, Summary Report #5, Final Unofficial Election Night Results (November 4, 2026). Precinct reporting is complete for election-night ballots but not necessarily for all eligible mail and provisional ballots. No final certification has occurred.
