Upland’s Gibson Senior Center Seeks Thanksgiving Meal Donations During Week of November 16

UPLAND — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL. The City of Upland’s Notable News Weekly reports that Gibson Senior Center is organizing another Thanksgiving meal giveaway for older adults who live in Upland. The center is working with local senior housing organizations to identify people who could benefit from food support.

What residents should know

The program encourages donors to take a ‘feather’ representing a requested food item or provide an entire holiday meal for an individual senior. City staff say donations are to be dropped off at the senior center during the week of November 16, 2026.

The initiative is organized through the city’s Recreation and Community Services programs. Residents who want to participate should contact the Gibson Senior Center before buying food so they can confirm the current list of needed items, packaging instructions and delivery windows.

The city lists 909-981-4501 as the contact number. The notice does not establish that all requests can be accommodated or that the program is open for unrestricted walk-in applications by people who were not referred.

Food donation drives can help reduce isolation and material hardship for neighbors during the holidays. California58 will not publish names or circumstances of recipients without their consent.
