UPLAND, San Bernardino County — November 2026 general election. Upland’s proposal to modernize its business license tax structure has a majority in the reported vote count.
Unofficial vote totals
Yes 10,138 (61.95%), No 6,226 (38.05%) in the NBC Los Angeles table. The early Yes advantage is 3,912 votes.
What the ballot measure would change
The city says Measure M would revise business license taxes, primarily using gross receipts, and use rates between 0.065% and 0.2% in the proposed long-term schedule. It projects an additional $2.1 million annually; that is an estimate, not a sum already collected. The measure is a general business tax, not a new personal property tax on residents, and the city lists a simple-majority approval threshold. The reported result is not yet certified.
Counting status and source date
These figures come from the NBC Los Angeles election results tracker checked on November 5, 2026. Its page has dynamic totals, but the individual contest’s underlying county posting timestamp has not been independently verified for this report. They are not certified results. San Bernardino County began canvassing November 4 and plans to certify no later than December 3; further valid mailed and provisional ballots may change the totals. Consult the county’s current dated count for subsequent changes.
